Snow and Ice and All Things Nice

“Is that real snow out there or is it part of the window art?”  No, it was real, fluffy white snow – pretty as the window pictures  (until we tried to go somewhere, upon which it became cold, slippy and very inconvenient).   Due to much rushing around before Christmas and since we’ve only just got around to posting pics of the last of the windows to be painted.   Apologies for the delay.  Thanks again to Alastair and Caroline for their hard work in lining Clitheroe’s shopping streets with colourful Christmas cheer.  Click on the pictures to zoom in.  Photos by John Turner.

Our hardy continental team of window artists have been beavering away through the stormy weather to conjure up more visions of festive fun throughout the town.   Trees, baubles  and garlands have been put up in paint in preparation for the Christmas season, and Santa’s treated himself to an alternative to his traditional mode of transport on Bawdlands! Colourful Christmas Cheer

Brush and palette in hand, the team of window artists are continuing on their mission to prepare the town’s windows for the imminent Christmas season.   At one end of town Santa is gliding over the rooftops  pulled by his trusty team of reindeer, while on King Street he’s more relaxed,  grabbing the chance to watch a spot of Christmas telly.  And that’s not all – a couple of snowmen have taken up residence on Castle Street!  Click on the images to zoom in.
