A new series of business development workshops organised by Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce are being held at The Grand in Clitheroe.

The next event on Tuesday 24th November will be the first of a two-part workshop called “Survive and Thrive”. The first evening “Taking Stock” will look at where you are currently in your business and the second “Moving Forward” will cover business goals and strategies for growth in 2010.

John Garrod who leads on business development and training for the Clitheroe Chamber is one of the UK’s foremost business coaches with a wealth of experience in senior management and business development roles and hands on knowledge of corporate change projects. John is a top ranked business coach for a specialist organisation called Ology Business, where he specialises in helping businesses of all shapes and sizes improve their profitability and performance.

John is delighted to be sharing his insight and experience with local business people through this Clitheroe Chamber of Trade programme of events:

“The feedback from last months workshop has been great. These evenings have the potential to make a real difference to the many businesses in Clitheroe. So no matter how small or large your business is from butcher, baker to candlestick maker these sessions will develop your business thinking and enable you to make the most of your ideas to move your business forward. I offer support and advice for everyone from the corporate, business to business, creative arts, media, retail, catering and hospitality industries. There is something for everyone to learn about how to adapt and develop in today’s business environment.

The evenings are very easy going and set in a friendly, intimate atmosphere among like minded people. I look forward to meeting and helping all sorts of different people with a range of solid advice and action plans that will ultimately enhance and improve Clitheroe’s reputation as one of the most forward thinking, innovative and thriving centres of business excellence in the UK today.

The first workshop will look at how well your business is currently doing, and will cover the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to your business. Next month’s event will go on to cover setting some goals for your business, and get you thinking about what you can do slightly differently to achieve them.

This evening will be a great opportunity to set some early New Years’ resolutions in place for your business, but unlike most New Years’ resolutions we will make sure you keep these ones!.”

The workshop will start at 5.45pm on Tuesday 24th November. The cost is £10 for Clitheroe Chamber of Trade members and £15 for non members. Refreshments will be provided.

For further information and to secure your place, please contact John Garrod on 01254 240545 or email: johngarrod@ologybusiness.com
